****THE ROADWAY IS NOW OPENED - WATER HAS RECEDED*****
Washington Parish - FULL ROADWAY CLOSURE OF LA 1055 at Silver Creek. Roadway is impassable due to water over the roadway.
A section of LA 1055, between Archie Simmons Road and Bennie Morris Road (at Silver Creek Campground) will be closed in both directions until further notice due to high water.
Motorists may take LA 438 as an alternate route.
This notice will be updated as conditions change and water receeds.
DOTD reminds motorists to stay alert to hazardous conditions, drive only when necessary, and drive with caution.
