The westbound I-10 entrance and exit ramps at Exit 109 (LA 328, Breaux Bridge), Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) and Exit 103B (I-49 Northbound), will have one (1) hour, short-term intermittent ramp closures from Wednesday, May 26 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, May 27 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting:

These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform roadway striping operations and shift traffic to new constructed lanes.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to these areas during these short-term closures. Detour routes will not be posted for the ramp closures, however, traffic may use the next ramp westbound to access I-10 Eastbound and travel back to the intended exit.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2021.
