UPDATE: Nighttime closures on I-10, US 171 in Lake Charles – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The remaining lane closures for this week have changed.

The updated schedule is below:
  • Wednesday, May 26, at 8 p.m. until Thursday, May 27, at 5 a.m. - I-10 westbound double right lane closure
  • Wednesday, May 26, at 8 p.m. until Thursday, May 27, at 5 a.m. - I-10 eastbound left lane closure
  • Thursday, May 27, at 8 p.m. until Friday, May 28, at 5 a.m. - US 171 southbound right lane closure

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, May 24, 2021, there will be nighttime closures on I-10 from Enterprise Boulevard to east of Shattuck Street and on US 171 between Griffin Street and the I-10 overpass in Calcasieu Parish.

The closure schedule is as follows:
  • Monday, May 24 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, May 25, at 5 a.m. – I-10 westbound double left lane closure
  • Monday, May 24, at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, May 25, at 5 a.m. - I-10 eastbound left lane closure
  • Tuesday May 25, at 8 p.m. until Wednesday, May 26, at 5 a.m. - I-10 westbound double right lane closure
  • Tuesday, May 25, at 8 p.m. until Wednesday, May 26, at 5 a.m. - I-10 eastbound left lane closure
  • Wednesday, May 26, at 8 p.m. until Thursday, May 27, at 5 a.m. – US 171 southbound right lane closure.
These closures will allow crews to remove and install new interstate overhead truss signs on I-10 at Enterprise Bouvlad and US 171 at I-10 and related work. All work is weather dependent.
