La 37(Greenwell Springs) is closed in both directions at the Comite River – East Baton Rouge

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that Greenwell Springs Road is closed in both directions at the Comite River due to high water.
This road closure is in effect until further notice. No thru traffic is allowed at this time.
Drivers should be cautious of water on the road and should never attempt to drive through highwater even if it appears to be shallow. Also never drive around a “road closed” barricade at anytime for any reason.
DOTD will advise when the water has receded and the road has been reopened.
