UPDATE - OPEN - LA 442, BETWEEN US 51 AND LA 1065 - TANGIPAHOA PARISH
EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 442, at a point approximately 0.7 miles east of US 51, will be closed in both directions from 9am to 12pm today, April 30, 2021, to allow electric crews to remove a tree in conflict with power lines.
SUGGESTED DETOUR:
Motorists traveling 442 east may take US 51 south to LA 1064, then east to LA 1065, then north to re-intersect LA 442.
Motorists traveling 442 west may take LA 1065 south to LA 1064, then west to US 51, then north to re-intersect LA 442.
This notice will be updated as conditions change.
DOTD reminds motorists to stay alert to hazardous conditions and drive with caution.
