Crews will begin striping the new lanes tonight in preparation for a traffic switch in two weeks. Once the traffic has been switched to the new lanes, crews will begin removing the old roadway.  During this process, crews will make sure that one lane of travel in each direction is maintained at all times.

Lime treatment is used to dry out the old roadway so that the new foundation can be placed. Drying the foundation makes it stronger and provides better support for the new road surface.
