Interstate/highway ramp cleaning to be conducted in Shreveport, Caddo Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the City of Shreveport will be conducting interstate/highway ramp cleaning beginning on Monday, April 5, 2021.

These cleanings are scheduled to take place from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. each night through Friday, April 9, 2021.

All ramps on the following interstates/highway will be swept and cleaned as part of this operation:
  • I-20: From the Red River to E. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop (LA 526)
  • LA 3132: From I-20 to Flournoy Lucas (LA 523)
  • I-49: From I-20 to LA 3132 (southern portion of I-49)
This work will not require ramp closures. There will be a rolling work zone utilizing crash attenuators, sweepers, a dump truck, and police escort. Motorists should drive with caution and be aware that these operations are taking place.

In the event of inclement weather, the dates will be extended to Saturday, April 10th and Sunday, April 11th.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
