Friday, March 26, 2021 at 1:55:21 PM
The I-10 eastbound entrance ramp at I-49 will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting:

  • Sunday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, March 29 at 6:00 a.m.
  • Monday, March 29 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, March 30 at 6:00 a.m.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform asphalt operations on the roadway.

The detour for traffic will be to utilize the interchange clover leaf ramps by taking Exit 1B (I-10 westbound on ramp), Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), and I-10 Eastbound via Exit 1A.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2021.
