Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 3:10:39 PM
I-10 eastbound entrance ramp at Exit 104 - Louisiana Avenue will be closed Tuesday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, March 24 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to continue asphalt operations.

The detour for traffic is LA Avenue to I-10 Westbound to Exit 103A (US 167 south exit ramp) to I-10 Eastbound via Exit 1A.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2021.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
