UPDATE: In addition to the dates listed below, the I-10 westbound exit ramp at Exit 103B (I-49 NB - Opelousas) will also be closed on the following night, weather permitting:

Thursday, March 25 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, March 26 at 6:00 a.m.





The I-10 westbound exit ramp at Exit 103B (I-49 NB - Opelousas) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting:

Tuesday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, March 24 at 6:00 a.m.
Wednesday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, March 25 at 6:00 a.m.

These closures are necessary to allow crews to prepare the roadway for asphalt operations.

The detour for traffic is I-10 Westbound to Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), I-10 Eastbound via Exit 1A and I-10 eastbound to 103B (I-49 NB - Opelousas).

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2021.
