LA 1 (ASCENSION PARISH) - There will be a road closure on LA 1 South from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily beginning on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 until Wednesday, March 17, 2021. This road closure will be from LA 3089 to the Union Pacific Railroad Underpass.

This road closure is necessary for crews to perform drainage excavation near the Union Pacific underpass trestle. No thru traffic will be allowed to cross during the hours listed above.

Detour:

Southbound traffic may take LA 3089 to LA 308 and proceed south to Rondinaud Lane Bridge over Bayou Lafourche back to LA 1 south.

Northbound traffic may take LA 1 to Roundinaud Lane Bridge over Bayou Lafourche and proceed to LA 308, then turn left on LA 308 and proceed north to LA 3089.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
