NOW OPEN: LA 579 east of Epps in East Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 579 EAST OF EPPS HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, March 15, 2021, Cook's Slough Bridge on LA 579 will be closed, approximately 1.3 miles southeast of LA 577 in East Carroll Parish.

The LA 579 bridge closure is anticipated to last 3 weeks, and should be reopened Friday, April 2, 2021.

DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.

Permit/Detour
The detour route will be LA 579, LA 577, and LA 877.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
