BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $102 million at its Oct. 31 public bid opening, according to Gov. Kathleen Blanco and DOTD Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry.

With a bid of $24,778,565.19, Eutaw Construction Co. Inc., Jackson, Miss., was the apparent low bidder on the state’s most expensive job, a project in Morehouse Parish calling for installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, concrete girder span bridge and related work on U.S. 425 from 1 mile north of La. 140 to La. 142.
