REMINDER: Intermittent nighttime ramp closures on I-20 in Lincoln & Ouachita Parishes

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds motorists that intermittent nighttime on and off-ramp closures along I-20 in Lincoln and Ouachita Parishes are ongoing.

These closures, which only take place from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., are part of a $8.6 million project to rehabilitate selected interstate ramps along the I-20 corridor in these two parishes.

This project, which began in September 2020, is providing necessary repairs to the ramps in order to restore their service life and keep the interchange functioning as it was designed. This work includes pavement patching, resealing the joints, and installing new roadway striping.

Portable digital message boards are placed at ramps where nighttime work is being conducted to alert motorists of the closure, since the contractor is moving equipment and personnel as needed.

The entire project is anticipated to wrap up in late Summer 2021, weather permitting.
