EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 16 near Tangipahoa River Bridge - TANGIPAHOA PARISH

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 16, just west of the LA 16 Tangipahoa River Bridge, will be closed in both directions from 2pm to 6pm today, February 18, 2021, to allow crane access in repairing a pole and downed power line.
SUGGESTED DETOUR:
Motorists traveling east may take US 51 north to LA 10, then east to LA 1054, then south to re-intersect LA 16.
Motorists traveling west may take LA 1054 north to LA 10, then west to US 51, then south to re-intersect LA 16.
This notice will be updated as conditions change.
DOTD reminds motorists to stay alert to hazardous conditions, drive only when necessary, and drive with caution.
