ROADWAY IS NOW OPEN!!!
**ROAD CLOSURE DUE TO HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS BECAUSE OF HIGH WATER**
LA 37 Greenwell Springs Road approximately one mile North of Wax Road is closed due to water across the roadway. The Southbound lane is closed but the Northbound lane remains open for travel.

The Department of Transportation and Development District 61 Office in Baton Rouge advises that the forecasted weather conditions may result in hazardous driving conditions on state roads and bridges. DOTD will continue monitoring the bridges and elevated structures for small areas of ice as well as high water and its forces will be ready to apply salt over affected bridges, remove fallen trees from the roadway, and close routes as needed.
DOTD urges motorists to continue to use extra caution when traveling on roadways and avoid driving while distracted. Make an effort to be aware of your surroundings and be watchful of DOTD personnel and equipment.
