UPDATE - REOPENED: I-20 westbound near Gibsland, Bienville Parish
UPDATE (12/30/2020): Motorists are advised that I-20 westbound near Gibsland in Bienville Parish has been REOPENED. Please travel safely.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that I-20 westbound near the LA 154 interchange at Gibsland (Exit 61) in Bienville Parish remains closed following a crash involving an 18-wheeler that occurred early on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
Crews are still on scene working to clear the area in order to reopen the interstate. DOTD will issue a notification when I-20 westbound has been reopened.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution through the area, and be aware that there may be some travel delays.
Alternate route: I-20 westbound traffic is being detoured to US 80 via LA 154 (Exit 61 Gibsland Athens).
