Westbound I-10 at Loyola Drive, Kenner – All lanes closed 10:30 PM Friday December 11, 2020 - 8:00 AM Saturday December 12, 2020 and 10:30 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 – 9:30 AM Sunday, December 13, 2020. In advance of the complete closure, the left lane will be closed each night at 7:30 PM
All westbound I-10 traffic will be detoured to the Loyola Drive exit ramp and continue straight through the Loyola intersection to re-enter Westbound I-10.
The complete closure is necessary to hang steel girders that span over the entire westbound roadway. The girders are part of the future flyover ramp from I-10 West directly to the airport.
Access to the airport will be maintained.
Alternate routes for I-10 west: US 61 to I-310 north to I-10 West.
Local traffic encouraged to use alternate routes to and from Loyola and north Kenner area: Williams or Power Blvd to West Esplanade Ave.
