Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 9:49:01 AM
UPDATE: This closure has been extended to include the following night:
Tuesday, November 10 at 8 p.m. until Wednesday, November 11 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The I-10 westbound exit ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed as follows, weather permitting:

• Sunday, November 8 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, November 9 at 6:00 a.m.
• Monday, November 9 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 a.m.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to restripe the roadway and swap traffic on the ramp.

The detour for WB traffic is to continue on I-10 westbound to Exit 104 (LA Avenue) then onto I-10 eastbound back to Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge).

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in March 2021.
