DOTD announces upcoming LA 426 (Old Hammond Highway) lane closures in East Baton Rouge Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces upcoming, alternating lane closures on LA 426 eastbound, from Silverest Ave to W. Carriage House Dr.
One lane will be closed in the Eastbound direction from 7:00 p.m.to Thursday, July 23, through 5:00 a.m. Friday, July 24th, 2020. All work is weather permitting.
The lane closures are necessary for crews to complete utility upgrades.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
Motorists may encounter excessive delays during the peak times of this closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
