UPDATE: Road closure on LA 3256 (Manchester Road) – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The time for this closure has been extended to 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 3256 will be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing between US 90 (Fruge Street) and Opelousas Street on Wednesday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The closure will allow the railroad company and DOTD to make repairs to the crossing. Northbound traffic may detour by taking US 90 East to LA 383 north then LA 3256/Frontage road west to LA 3256 south. Southbound traffic may take LA 3256/Frontage Road east to LA 383 south then US 90 West to LA 3256 north. All activity is weather permitting.
