DOTD announces upcoming I-10 full closure in Orleans Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces an upcoming Interstate 10 closure in Orleans Parish.
In order for Entergy crews to remove/replace electrical wires, I-10 East and West will be closed from the Airline/Carrollton Avenue exit to the I-610 East exit from 2 a.m. until 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 12.
In addition, the following interstate entrance/exit ramps will be closed beginning at 12:00 a.m. until the interstate is reopened:
I-10 EB
- Bonnabel Boulevard on-ramp to I-10 East
- Southbound Pontchartrain Boulevard on-ramp to I-10 East
I-10 WB
- S. Carrollton Avenue on-ramp to I-10 West
- US 61 (Airline Drive)/Tulane Avenue on-ramp to I-10 West
- City Park Avenue/Metairie Road on-ramp to I-10 West
Drivers will be directed to take the following detours:
I-10 EB traffic will be forced to I-610 East to LA 3021 (Elysian Fields Avenue), then allowed back onto I-10 West.
Southbound Ponchartrain Boulevard on-ramp will be detoured to the I-10 West/I-610 East exit.
City Park Avenue/Metairie Road traffic will be directed to US 61 (Airline Drive).
I-10 WB traffic will be detoured to US 61 N (Airline Drive) to Causeway Blvd, then get back onto I-10.
