UPDATE (CORRECTION) - LA 733 (E Broussard Road) & Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette Parish, Traffic Switch

UPDATE #2: The newly constructed roundabout at the intersection of LA 733 (E Broussard Road) and the newly constructed realignment from Anslem Coulee to the roundabout will be fully OPEN to traffic starting Saturday, November 7, at 9:00 a.m., weather permitting.

All directions of traffic entering and exiting this roundabout will be open with no restrictions.

The existing signal at the intersection of LA 733 (E Broussard Road) and Kaliste Saloom Road will be removed and the access to Kaliste Saloom Road will be moved to the roundabout.

The existing signalized intersection of LA 733 (East Broussard Road) and Kaliste Saloom Road will be reopened starting Monday, July 13 at 9:00 a.m., weather permitting. Motorist will be allowed to enter or exit Kaliste Saloom Road at this intersection.

The northbound travel lane of LA 733, at the location of the roundabout currently being constructed will be temporarily closed for construction. Motorist traveling northbound on LA 733 will be detoured at the roundabout construction east onto the newly constructed Kaliste Saloom Roadway and bridge. Motorist will then approach a new temporary signal in which motorist needing to continue to travel northbound on LA 733 will make a left turn at this temporary signal to then detour back to LA 733 at the existing signalized intersection of LA 733 and Kaliste Saloom Road.

Motorist traveling southbound on LA 733 will be able to continue southbound through a temporary diversion lane around the construction of the roundabout. Motorist wanting to go east onto Kaliste Saloom Road will do so at the existing signalized intersection at LA 733 and Kaliste Saloom Road by taking a left at the intersection.
