LA-77 Road Closure at Union Pacific Railroad Crossing (Milepost 43.955)

Union Pacific Railroad
LA 77, Fordoche, Pointe Coupee Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. The work will be done at Milepost 43.955 and is on Control Section 219-05. The closure will Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The closure is needed for Union Pacific to complete work on the approaches to the railroad track.
The Roadway will be closed completely too all traffic during this time. The Detour will be LA 77 North to LA 10 East to LA 1 South to LA 78 West to US 190 south to LA 77 North. The detour can accept oversized loads. The Detour Route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the Road Closure.
