NOW OPEN: LA 556 near Cartwright in Jackson Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 556 NEAR CARTWRIGHT REOPENED TO THRU TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the South Choudrant Creek bridge on LA 556 near Cartwright in Jackson Parish is closed, approximately 4.0 miles east of LA 145.
The bridge will be closed for approximately 2 weeks, so that necessary repairs can be made.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 556, LA 144, LA 151, US 80 and LA 145.
