EXTENDED - I-10 WB at LA 328 (Rees Street), St. Martin Parish, Ramp Closure

UPDATE: This closure has been extended to include Monday, June 29 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, June 30 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The off ramp of I-10 westbound at LA 328 (Rees Street) will be closed on the following nights:

  • Monday, June 22 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, June 23 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

  • Tuesday, June 23 at 8 p.m. until Wednesday, June 24 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
  • Wednesday, June 24 at 8 p.m. until Thursday, June 25 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
  • Thursday, June 25 at 8 p.m. until Friday, June 26 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
  • Friday, June 26 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, June 27 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
  • Saturday, June 27 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, June 28 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
  • Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. until Monday, June 29 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

These closures are necessary to allow for ramp construction.

The detour for traffic is I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue to I-10 eastbound and then back to LA 328 (Exit 109).


Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.


The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).


The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
