UPDATE: RESCHEDULED - Road closure on LA 383 (North Thompson Avenue) – Iowa - Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: This closure has been rescheduled to today, June 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 383 (North Thompson Avenue) will be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing between Railroad Avenue and 1st Street on Tuesday, June 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

The closure will allow the railroad company and DOTD to make repairs to the crossing. Northbound traffic may detour by taking US 90 east to US 165 north then LA 3258 west to LA 383 south. Southbound traffic may take LA 3258 east to US 165 south then US 90 west to LA 383 north. All activity is weather permitting.
