Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1:26:15 PM

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises that the left lane on ramp of I-10 westbound at LA 328 (Rees Street) will be closed on Tuesday, June 16 at 11 p.m. until Wednesday, June 17 at 1 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to replace the traffic signal.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.

The detour route for traffic is I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 - LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia) to I-10 westbound.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
