SPEED LIMIT CHANGES: US 90 in Jefferson Davis Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of speed limit changes on US 90 in and near the Villiage of Mermentau beginning today, Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

The 40 MPH speed zone on US 90 in Mermentau will be extended west to the west end of the Mermentau Bridge. At this point, a 50 MPH speed zone will begin and will extend to just west of Beroid Street. No other modifications will be made to any of the remaining speed zones near Mermentau.

DOTD is working with local law enforcement agencies as this change goes into effect, and advises motorists to be aware of the change and drive with caution.
