I-10 Westbound from MM 105 (Vermilion River) to MM 103, Lafayette Parish - Lane Closure

UPDATE: This closure has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, June 14 at 6 a.m.; and Sunday, June 14 at 8 p.m. until Monday, June 15 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
The outside lane of I-10 eastbound from mile marker 105 (Vermilion River) to mile marker 103 will be closed nightly on the following nights:

• Thursday, June 11 at 8 p.m. until Friday , June 12 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

• Friday, June 12 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, June 13 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

These closures are necessary to allow the contractor to move the concrete barriers.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
