**ATTENTION-UPDATE**

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that the road closure for LA 77, Fordoche, Pointe Coupee Parish, was cancelled in error. This closure will take place as previously scheduled. Sorry for the confusion.

Union Pacific Railroad


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that LA 77, Fordoche, Pointe Coupee Parish, will be closed Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. The work will be done at Milepost 43.955 and is on Control Section 219-05. The closure will begin on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM with a reopen on Sunday June 7, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The closure is for Union Pacific to replace the track panel and crossing surface thru the crossing.

Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 77 North to LA 10 East to LA 1 South to LA 78 West to US 190 south to LA 77 North. The detour can accept oversized loads and will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
