From Tuesday, May 26, 2020, through Thursday, May 28, 2020, there will be alternating left and right lane closures on I-12 Eastbound and Westbound between US 190 (Mile Marker 63) and LA 59 (Mile Marker 66). These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform asphalt inlay operations.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access on I-12. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
On Friday, May 29, 2020, there will be alternating left and right lane closures on I-12 Westbound between US 190 (Mile Marker 63) and LA 59 (Mile Marker 66). These closures will be from the hours of 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, weather permitting. Additionally, there will be intermittent rolling roadblock closures, less than 15 minutes in duration, in order for traffic shifting operations to take place.
There will also be FULL and INTERMITTENT RAMP CLOSURES for I-12 Eastbound and Westbound as follows:
On Thursday, May 28, 2020, there will be a FULL CLOSURE of the US 190 on-ramp of I-12 Eastbound interchange from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform asphalt inlay operations.
On Friday, May 29, 2020, there will be INTERMITTENT RAMP CLOSURES of the I-12 Westbound off-ramp of US 190 interchange (Exit 63B) and on I-12 Westbound on-ramp of the LA 59 interchange. These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform striping and traffic swap operations.
Detour Section
Motorists wishing to enter I-12 EB via US 190 West may travel north on US 190, make a legal U-turn then travel on US 190 East to get onto to I-12 EB
Motorists wishing to enter I-12 WB via LA 59 may take I-12 EB to LA 1088 and transition from EB off-ramp (Exit 68) to LA 1088 on-ramp back to I-12 WB.
Motorists traveling I-12 WB wishing to exit US 190 NB (Exit 63B) may take US 190 SB (Exit 63A) and transition to US 190 NB at Fairway Dr/Judge Tanner Blvd.
