The northbound and southbound lanes of LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) under the I-10 overpass will be closed nightly beginning Tuesday, May 26 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, May 31 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to complete the painting and remove all rigging on the I-10 overpass.

The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to Exit 121 – LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) and then returning on I-10 westbound to Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia).

The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) and then returning on I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia).

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
