UPDATE: NOW OPEN - LA 22 between Fire Tower Road and Traino Road in Tangipahoa Parish
There is still water at the edges of the roadway; please proceed with caution.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 22 between Fire Tower Road and Traino Road in Tangipahoa Parish is closed until further notice due to water over the roadway. Motorists are advised to avoid this area.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
The following alternate routes may be used to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling LA 22 west may take LA 1077 north to I-12, then west to LA 445, then south to re-intersect LA 22.
Motorists traveling LA 22 east may take LA 445 north to I-12, then east to LA 1077, then south to re-intersect LA 22.
LADOTD reminds motorists to drive safely and be on the lookout for crews and possible high water over the roadways.
