From Sunday, May 17, 2020 through Thursday May 21, 2020, there will be alternating single lane closures on I-12 Eastbound and Westbound between US 190 (Mile Marker 63) to LA 59 (Mile Marker 66). These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform asphalt inlay operations.
On Tuesday night, May 19, 2020, there will be alternating single lane closures on I-12 Westbound between US 190 (Mile Marker 63) to LA 59 (Mile Marker 66). These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractors to perform striping operations.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access on I-12. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
There will also be FULL and INTERMITTENT ON and OFF-RAMP CLOSURES for I-12 Eastbound and Westbound as follows:
On Sunday night, May 17, 2020, and Monday night, May 18, 2020, there will be FULL OFF-RAMP CLOSURES on I-12 Westbound of US 190 interchange (Exit 63B) from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform asphalt operations.
On Monday night, May 18, 2020, there will be FULL ON-RAMP CLOSURES on I-12 Eastbound of the US 190 interchange from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weather permitting. This is to allow the contractor to perform asphalt inlay operations.
On Tuesday night, May 19, 2020, there will be INTERMITTENT RAMP CLOSURES on I-12 Westbound Off-Ramp of US 190 interchange (Exit 63B) and on I-12 Westbound On-Ramp of LA 59 interchange from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This closure is to allow the contractor to perform striping operations.
Detour Section
Motorists wishing to enter I-12 WB via LA 59 may take I-12 EB to LA 1088 and transition from EB off-ramp (Exit 68) to LA 1088 on-ramp back to I-12 WB.
Motorists traveling I-12 WB wishing to exit US 190 NB (Exit 63B) may take US 190 SB (Exit 63A) and transition to US 190 NB at Fairway Dr/Judge Tanner Blvd.
Motorists wishing to enter I-12 EB via US 190 interchange may take US 190 East (St. Tammany Parkway) to the LA 22 Interchange (Emerald Road), then East via US 190 to LA 59 and North on LA 59 to return to I-12 EB.
