LA 328 (Rees Street) northbound and southbound under the I-10 overpass will be closed on the following nights.

• Monday, May 11 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, May 12 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

• Tuesday, May 12 at 8 p.m. until Wednesday, May 13 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary for barrier rail installation.

The detour route for northbound traffic is I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 - LA 347 then I-10 westbound to continue on LA 328 northbound.

The detour route for southbound traffic is I-10 westbound to Exit – 104 (Louisiana Avenue) then I-10 eastbound to continue on LA 328 southbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area during this closure.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
