I-10 EB between MM 113.6 & 118, St. Martin Parish, Alternating Lane Closures & Ramp Closures
Tuesday, May 05, 2020 at 9:00:47 AM

I-10 eastbound between mile markers 113.6 and 118 will have alternating lane closures on Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. until Friday, May 8 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Additionally, the On and Off Ramps of I-10 eastbound at Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia) will be closed on Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. until Friday, May 8 at 1 a.m., weather permitting.

These closures are necessary to allow the contractor to complete the traffic shift to the newly constructed section.

The detour for I-10 eastbound traffic will be to continue on I-10 eastbound to Exit 121 – LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) and then back on I-10 westbound to Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia).

The detour for LA 347 traffic will be I-10 westbound to Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) and then back on I-10 eastbound.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
