LA 70 Service Road (ST. JAMES PARISH) - A road closure will take place on LA 70 Service Road near LA 44 beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 7:00 AM. This closure will remain in effect until 7:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2020.
The closure is necessary for Canadian National Railroad to replace railroad crossings.
Detour signs will be posted. Commuters may travel LA 44 to LA 3214 then 3125 to LA 70 or LA 70 to LA 3125 then LA 3214 to LA 44 as detour routes.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
