LA 1230 at Union Pacific railroad tracks; Georgetown, Grant Parish; Closure and Detour

**LA 1230; Georgetown, Grant Parish**

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that LA 1230, Georgetown, Grant Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. The work will be done at Milepost 7.450 and is on Control Section 822-06. The closure will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM with a reopen at 7:00 PM. The closure is for Union Pacific to replace the track panel and crossing surface thru the crossing.

The Roadway will be closed completely too all traffic during this time.

The detour will be:
The westbound detour will be LA 1230 to US 165 SB to LA 3098 WB to 1230.
The eastbound detour will be LA 1230 to LA 3098 EB to US 165 SB to LA 500 EB.

The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the Road Closure.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
