LANE CLOSURE: I-20 westbound at Spring/Market Streets, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Thursday, April 2, 2020, the outside westbound lane of I-20 at Exit 19A (Spring/Market Streets) and Exit 18D (Common St./Louisiana Ave.) in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to take place from 10:00 p.m. on April 2nd until 6:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3rd, and is necessary to allow for repairs to be made to the crash attenuator at this location.
A crash attenator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle's energy.
