UPDATE - CANCELLED: LA 191 at Toledo Bend Spillway, Sabine Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Sabine River Authority (SRA) will be closing LA 191 at the Toledo Bend Spillway in Sabine Parish (mile post 1.7). At this time SRA plans to only close one lane. However, a full road closure may necessary in order to safely complete the work.

This closure is expected to last approximately four (4) hours contingent on there being no complications or weather delays. The closure is located one (1) mile south of the junction of LA 392 and LA 191.

The lane/road closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 8:00 am to 12:00 p.m.

Permit/Detour:


There will be flagging personnel on site directing traffic. You can expect some delays if traveling north or south over the Dam on LA 191. Local traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes during the time of this lane closure.
