Attention Consultant Community:

Please be advised that the following Bridge Design Technical Memorandum (BDTM) has been approved by the Bridge Design Engineer Administrator and published on the DOTD Bridge Design Section website (http://wwwsp.dotd.la.gov/Inside_LaDOTD/Divisions/Engineering/Bridge_Design/Pages/Technical-Memoranda.aspx) for implementation. The BDTM index has been updated and posted as well.

BDTM.88 – New Bridge Railing Due To Bridge Widening
This BDTM revises the policy for replacing bridge railings when a bridge widening project is involved, as specified in the Bridge Design and Evaluation Manual, Part I, Chapter 6, Section 6.3.
