POSTPONED - Upcoming I-10 WB traffic shift at the LA 108 interchange– Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE
: Due to inclement weather, the I-10 westbound traffic shift has been postponed to the evening of Thursday, March 12.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that motorists can expect a traffic shift on I-10 westbound at the LA 108 interchange during the evening of Monday, March 9.

Two lanes of I-10 westbound traffic will shift to the service road at the LA 108 interchange. The service road has been widened to accommodate two lanes, and the westbound entrance ramp loop has been closed to allow interstate traffic. This will allow the contractor to reconstruct the concrete sections of the interstate. The below graphic illustrates the traffic shift for I-10 westbound.

Motorists are advised a similar pattern will occur for I-10 eastbound traffic. DOTD will announce the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp loop closure and traffic shift as soon as that information becomes available.

I-10 eastbound between the LA 108 interchange (Exit 23) and the I-210 interchange (Exit 25) will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 8.

All dates and activity are weather dependent. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with extreme caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
