REMINDER: DOTD announces lane closures, ramp closure for I-10 improvement project – Calcasieu Parish
REMINDER: The I-10 westbound entrance ramp loop is anticipated to close tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3. This closures will allow I-10 traffic to shift to the service road while the contractor reconstructs the concrete sections of the interstate. DOTD will announce the date for the traffic shift as soon as that information becomes available. The below graphic provides an overview of how the detour, temporary signal, and traffic shift will work.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that I-10 eastbound between the LA 108 and I-210 interchanges will be reduced to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 3.
The northeast I-10 westbound entrance ramp at the LA 108 interchange is currently anticipated to close Tuesday, March 3. Motorists traveling northbound on LA 108 will be able to access I-10 westbound through a temporary detour and signal. The temporary traffic signal at the LA 108 north interchange is expected to be operational Tuesday, March 3. This signal will allow drivers wanting to travel I-10 westbound to perform a left turn to enter the interstate while the northeast ramp is closed.
These closures are part of the ongoing I-10 improvements project. All work is weather permitting.
