The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, the intersection located at LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street), LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road), Horseshoe Drive and Lodi Street will be closed. The closure is needed to allow for construction of a roundabout intersection and scheduled to be reopened to traffic in July 2020.
In conjunction with this closure, motorists are advised that a temporary 4-way stop will be at the intersection of LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street), Camille Street, and Stadium Drive for the duration of the project.
Permit/Detour Section
LA 1208-3 (Jackson St) to LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road)
Traffic from LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street) will be detoured onto US 71 Northbound (MacArthur Drive) followed by a left onto LA 28 Westbound (Coliseum Blvd.). Traffic will then be detoured left onto LA 1243 Southbound (McKeithen Drive) and continue on to LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road).
LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road) to LA 1208-3 (Jackson St)
Traffic from LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road) will be detoured onto LA 1243 Northbound (McKeithen Drive). Traffic will then turn right onto LA 28 Eastbound (Coliseum Blvd.) and then right onto US 71 Southbound (MacArthur Drive). Traffic will then turn right onto LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street).
LA 1208-3 (Jackson St) to Horseshoe Drive
Traffic from LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street) will be detoured onto US 71 Southbound (MacArthur Drive) followed by a right onto US 165 Southbound (Masonic Drive). Traffic will then be detoured right onto Horseshoe Drive.
Horseshoe Drive to LA 1208-3 (Jackson St)
Traffic from Horseshoe Drive will be detoured onto US 165 Northbound (Masonic Drive). Traffic will then detour onto US 71 Northbound (MacArthur Drive). Traffic will then turn left onto LA 1208-3 (Jackson Street).
LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road) to Horseshoe Drive
Traffic from LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road) will be detoured onto LA 1243 Northbound (McKeithen Drive). Traffic will then turn right onto LA 28 Eastbound (Coliseum Blvd.) and then right onto US 71 Southbound (MacArthur Drive). Traffic will then turn right onto US 165 Southbound (Masonic Drive). Traffic will then be detoured right onto Horseshoe Drive.
Horseshoe Drive to LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road)
Traffic from Horseshoe Drive will be detoured onto US 165 Northbound (Masonic Drive). Traffic will then detour onto US 71 Northbound (MacArthur Drive) followed by a left onto LA 28 Westbound (Coliseum Blvd.). Traffic will then be detoured left onto LA 1243 Southbound (McKeithen Drive) and continue on to LA 488 (Twin Bridges Road).
