UPDATE ALL LANES REOPENED: Emergency Lane Closure / US 165 Southbound / Morehouse Parish
Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 5:18:04 PM
UPDATE: All lanes of US 165 Southbound at the location listed below have been fully reopened to traffic.

*************************************************************************************

LANE CLOSURE
Effective immediately, US 165 in Morehouse Parish is restricted to only one lane of travel southbound at a location 0.5 miles north of the Morehouse/Ouachita Parish line. This lane closure is required due to rising flood waters overtopping the outside travel lane. Once flood waters recede, the roadway will be assessed and will be returned to full traffic flow when deemed safe to do so.

DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason. Also, remember to never drive through standing or running water.

PERMIT/DETOUR
No permit requirements or detours are associated or required by this lane closure.

SAFETY REMINDER
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
