The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 at 7:00 A.M, US 71 Northbound (MacArthur Drive) right lane will be closure between Louise Street and Bolton Avenue to allow for construction work. In addition to the lane closure, the exit ramp for LA 1 (Bolton Ave.) will be closed. This work will consist of concrete pavement patching on US 71 northbound. The lane closure can be expected to last until the April 9th, 2020 at 7:00 A.M.

Traffic traveling to LA 1 will exit US 71 (MacArthur Drive) at Louise Street intersection. Traffic will continue northbound on MacArthur Drive service road toward LA 1.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, February 17, 2020 at 7:00 P.M., weather permitting, US 71 Northbound (MacArthur Drive) will have weekend and night time alternating lane closures between Rapides Avenue and Bolton Avenue to allow for construction work. Lane closures will not be allowed between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday. This work will consist of concrete pavement patching on US 71 northbound. The alternating lane closures can be expected to last until the end of March 2020.
Permit/Detour Section
There are no detours at this time associated with these lane closures.
NOTE: There will be a width restriction of 12 foot associated with the lane closure.
