LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Lane Closure, Ascension Parish

Construction has begun for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of upcoming road closure. On Saturday February 8, 2020 from 6:00am – 5:00 pm motorists will not be allowed to turn left onto LA 42 from LA 44. Motorist will be forced to go right on LA 42 from LA 44. Traffic will be able to make a u-turn at Billy Blvd. to go westbound on LA 42.
No permit or oversize loads greater than 10’ feet wide will be able to pass.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
