UPDATE: Lane closures for the I-10 improvement project – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE:
I-10 westbound will be reduced to one lane from one mile east of LA 108 to the LA 108 Interchange on Friday, February 7 from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

UPDATE: The I-10 lane closure scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, February 4 has been canceled due to weather. The closure will be rescheduled once weather permits.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that I-10 westbound between the LA 108 (Exit 23) and I-210 interchanges (Exit 25) will be reduced to one lane nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday, February 3 to Tuesday, February 4. I-10 westbound will continue to be reduced to two lanes 24/7 with the exception of the optional additional lane closures at night.

I-10 eastbound between the LA 108 (Exit 23) and I-210 interchanges (Exit 25) will be reduced to two lanes Thursday, February 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

LA 108 eastbound and westbound interchange service roads will continue to have intermittent shoulder closures from Monday, February 3 to Friday, February 7 to construct detour routes.

The closures are part of the ongoing project to widen and improve I-10 from the LA 108 interchange to the I-210 interchange. All closures are weather permitting. Motorists are advised the I-10 westbound work zone speed limit has been reduced to 50 MPH.
