DOTD announces an upcoming Highway Shoulder Construction Project on US 167 from LA 748 to the St. Landry Parish Line in Evangeline Parish, H.014053.6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, January 20, construction will begin on a $493,558.10 project on US 167, 0.42 miles west of LA 748 to the St. Landry Parish line in Evangeline Parish.
The work is estimated to take place on Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
There will be intermittent lane closures throughout the project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum width restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access to this area.
The project will include the construction of shoulders and related work.
The project is estimated for completion in March 2020.
